Contest FAQs

• What kinds of projects qualify?

  We’re looking for small projects of all kinds. We love seeing what our customers do. As a general rule, if you can buy most of what you need for your project at Westlake, then it’s the kind of project we’re interested in.

• How are the projects judged?

  All entries will be judged by a panel of Westlake associates, based on the following criteria: Innovation, Creativity, Craftsmanship and Appropriateness to the Contest theme. Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries and entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification. For more information, please review the official contest rules

• How may I enter my project into the contest?

  All contest entries must be submitted using our online entry form.

• How often can I enter or win? Can I enter more than one project into the contest?

  You may enter as often as you’d like. You may win a prize once every 90 days.  Submitting the same project multiple times in a month will not increase your chances of winning for that project.

• Are photos or video required?

  Yes. You must submit photos and/or video of your project in order to qualify. Having more information helps the judges evaluate entries.

• How will I know if I win?

  We will notify all winners via email and/or phone once selections have been made. We will also confirm all winners’ information via phone before awarding a prize. Everyone who enters will receive an email notification when winning entries have been posted to the website.

• Do I have to buy all my supplies at Westlake in order to qualify?

  No. But it sure would be nice if you did!
