Westlake Ace Hardware Expands in Texas

The 110-year-old chain recently acquired Turner Hardware in Farmers Branch.

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. April 13, 2015 – Westlake Ace Hardware is pleased to announce that it has acquired Turner Hardware in Farmers Branch, Texas. With this purchase and the recently announced acquisition of the four-store Watkins Hardware chain in the Midwest, Westlake now has 90 neighborhood hardware stores in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Westlake took possession of the store, located at 12895 Josey Lane in Farmers Branch, on April 13, 2015. The acquisition increases the number of stores in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area to five including:

  • 1705 W. Park Row Drive (Arlington)
  • 4701 Colleyville Blvd. (Colleyville)
  • 2000 Matlock Rd. (Mansfield)
  • 4440 Basswood Blvd. (Fort Worth)
