Westlake Ace Hardware Expands

The 110-year-old chain recently acquired all four Watkins Hardware locations in Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska.


KANSAS CITY, Mo. March 30, 2015 – Westlake Ace Hardware is pleased to announce that it has acquired four hardware stores in Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska. The company will take possession of the properties on March 30, 2015 and begin the process of rebranding the stores as Westlake Ace. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The four Watkins Hardware stores are located in:

  • Red Oak, Iowa (1601 Broadway)
  • Maryville, Mo. (1409 S. Main)
  • Beatrice, Neb. (2317 N. 6th Street)
  • Nebraska City, Neb. (1107 Grundman Blvd.)
