How do I hide the wires that I have running to my flat screen television?

The easiest way to hide cords from a wall-mounted flat screen TV is to purchase a cable management system that covers the cords as they leave the TV and run down your wall. These systems come in a variety of colors to match a wide spectrum of wall colors and do a good job of camouflaging your wires.

If you’re going to drill holes, first call an electrician and have them install a recessed outlet behind the television so that the TV’s power cord doesn’t show. Once you’ve mounted your television, mark you wall where you want your wires to enter and exit. Make sure your various cables and cords are long enough.

Cut small holes in the drywall at your markings. Feed the wires into the top hole, through the wall and out of the exit hole. Consider installing covers over the holes you drilled through the wall. You can find these covers at almost any electronics store and in the electronics section of a major retailer. Once your wires are through, connect them to cable boxes, DVD players, gaming systems and stereo equipment. Install the covers.
