Lightbulb Snowman Ornaments

These are so cute hanging on a tree and make a great project to do with the kids on a snowy afternoon.

For this project you can either use new light bulbs (we suggest the bright white ones) or you can recycle your old light bulbs -- just give them a coat of white spray paint to hide the burnt out gray area.

Gather some twigs from the yard for the arms and cut to about 2".

Either spray the bulbs with the glitter spray paint, or coat lightly with glue and sprinkle on glitter.

Once they are dry use either a small craft paint brush or a cotton swab dipped into a little paint, to create the eyes, mouth and buttons. You can also use puff paint if you prefer. Paint the nose by creating a small sideways triangle.

Use a dab of glue from the glue gun to adhere the twig arms.

Using a 6" piece of twine, wrap it around the light bulb threads and tie a knot. Then tie another knot at the end to form a hanging loop.

Shopping list:
Light bulbs
White Spray Paint (if you use old burnt out light bulbs)
Glitter Spray Paint (or Glue and Glitter)
Black and Orange Latex Paint or Puff Paint
Small Paint Brushes (or you can use a cotton swab)
Twine
Glue Gun
